What the mind can believe, the body can achieve. Today I reached another personal best!! I was able to squat 630 lbs (with the machine's support). Currently, my weight is moving on up too. I weigh about 212 lbs. Not to bad, I've got a little further to go though. My new goal is to complete a set with 315 lbs on the military press. I'm almost there. Overall, training is still going well. Until next month.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!! Gobble Gobble!!
I've heard it said before..."The journey of a million miles begins with one single step." Well everyone my journey has begun. Currently, I decided to scale back on cardio just a bit. It's a little to early. Since my show will be late 2008 I have a little more time to pack on my ideal weight of 225lbs. Right now I'm at 205. Not bad, but I still have a ways to go. As for as my exercising goes I am still going heavy while maintaining good form (which is important). Progress is still being made as far as "squating" is concerned. Just about to reach 600lbs. I had to switch to a machine to continue to maintain control while doing the movement. I'm also back on the biceps and triceps too!! My max so far with the bicep curl is a little over 145 lbs and for the triceps (which are my favorites) is the whole "stack"! I'm also back to my gallon of water a day.
Until next time...
Good, better, best! Never let it rest, till good is better and better is best!! Progress was made this week on the flat bench dumbbell press and the squat rack. I completed two full sets with 150lb dumbbells and three working sets of squats totaling 550 lbs. Since my goal right now is to gain some size. I'll stick with this awhile and eventually add some more pounds. Cardio is now being done in the morning prior to breakfast. Until next month
- Mood:
Welcome to my online training journal! Over the next couple of months I will be sharing with you my progress leading up to my third bodybuilding competition. For the moment, I am in the off season. My eating isn't as strict as it would be leading up to a show. Also my cardio is not as frequent. My current goal is to gain size in the off season and enjoy some of the foods that I missed during competition time last season. So far so good.
Until next time...
